Cherington has a family pub, The Cherington Arms, and parish church which dates back to the 13th Century. A wider range of amenities can be found at the nearby market towns of Shipston-on-Stour, Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh and Banbury, and further afield, at Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford and Cheltenham.
The popular Daylesford Organic Farm Shop is located 10 miles away. Educational facilities locally are excellent, including Brailes Church of England primary school (1.8miles), Preparatory schools include Kitebrook (co-ed) Moreton-in-Marsh, Cothill House (boys) Cothill, The Dragon (co-ed) Whitney.
Local secondary school at Middleton Cheney (Chenderit), grammar system in Buckingham and private schools at Brackley (Winchester House) and Overthorpe (Carrdus), Stowe, Bloxham and Tudor Hall.

Cherington is a predominantly stone built North Cotswold village set in the rolling South Warwickshire countryside away from busy roads in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, situated close to the famous Rollright Stones which span nearly 2,000 years of Neolithic and Bronze Age development, attracting people from far and wide to visit them.
The main trading area of the Cherington Arms consists of a good sized bar with adjoining restaurant. Fully equipped kitchen, traditionally furnished bar area, with many original features remaining, including a large open fireplace and exposed beams. In contrast the restaurant area is contemporary and stylish, providing a seating area for around 45 people, with French doors that open out into a private courtyard area. The cellar is conveniently located on the ground floor.
The gardens and terrace overlook the river Stour and provide a cool and relaxing area in which walkers, horse riders, families and dogs can re-fuel in the peaceful surroundings. Predominantly laid to lawn with herbaceous boarders and beds.Large parking area located opposite the pub able to accommodate around 30 cars.

From Chipping Norton head out on the A3400 towards Stratford, continue along this road for about 7 miles, passing through the village of Long Compton. On leaving Long Compton after about 3 miles there will be a turning on the right hand side to Cherington. Continue along this road and you will reach the village of Cherington. The public house can be found on the right hand side in the middle of the village.
