New people are in at The Inn

Graham and Jane Butcher are the new tenants at The Inn, Greatworth, nr Banbury, Oxfordshire. Running a village pub was a lifelong dream for the couple, who for the last four year have been living in France.

Graham and Jane want to make the pub a proper local – all the food is sourced from local suppliers within 10 or 11 miles of the pub. The couple’s daughter Jenna is the chef and she makes sure that all the meat and vegetables come from nearby farms. Even the ice cream is locally made.

“This place feels like home to me”, said Jane. “We have a wonderful pub in a nice village.” “Our menu will be seasonal, and made with good quality local ingredients. It has taken us a lot of hard work to make our suppliers understand that local means local.”

“And many of the herbs we use in our dishes will come from the pub’s garden too.” Just perfect – and the only thing to make it better would be a pint of locally brewed Hooky beer with your meal.
