Vintage motorcycles visit Hook Norton

The Hook Norton Brewery is used to the sound of an old engine – it is home to a 25 horsepower stream engine, which was installed in 1899.

Visitors on a brewery tour can still see its series of belts, cogs and shafts, which were once used everyday to provide the power to make the beer.
However, recently many different types of old engines were heard at the brewery as it hosted a visit by members of the Vintage Motor Cycle Club.
The car park thronged with bikes of all ages – including some from the earliest days of motor cycling.

The bike enthusiasts were involved in a four day Anglo Dutch trial and had motored up from Stratford where they were staying. The bike riders and their friends were able to relax, chat and exchange ideas over a cup of coffee in the brewery’s Visitor Centre before opening up their throttles and heading home through the beautiful Cotswold countryside.
