Snow at the brewery
Following blizzard-like conditions overnight, Hook Norton Brewery begrudgingly had to cancel all deliveries on Friday 6th February.
Thanks to the hard work and determination of the delivery staff, a majority of deliveries did go out on Thursday in van-loads. The lorries were not able to go out on either day but even the vans were snowed in by Friday!
A select few loyal members of staff braved the weather and the roads to get to work on both days.
The shop and visitor centre remained open for business on both days, only closing a few hours early for safety’s sake. Tours also had to be cancelled due to the danger of slippery stairs and surfaces.

All delivery staff kindly agreed to work on Saturday all being well in order to get as many orders out as possible. The village of Hook Norton always gets hit hard in these extreme weather conditions being positioned in a valley.
By the looks of the shelves in the village shop, not many people made it out of the village on Friday so it is commendable that so many Brewery employees made it to work, especially those living outside the village.
