Charity open day at Hook Norton Brewery for Help for Heroes and Katharine House
The Hook Norton Brewery together with the Military Vehicle Trust is holding a charity open day on Saturday 22 August from 11am-4pm.
All money raised will be donated to Katharine House hospice and Help for Heroes – a charity which helps and supports wounded service people.
There will be a display of military vehicles in the brewery’s car park and tea and spam sandwiches will be served from the tent in the brewery yard.
Visitors will have the chance to jive, swing and jitterbug, watch a demonstration of cooking with beer and take a tour of the village of Hook Norton on a vintage bus.
Help for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in the summer of 2007. The money raised is spent on providing practical, direct support for those wounded in the service of our country since 9/11.
Katharine House is located four miles south of Banbury and supports those people with life-threatening illnesses whose disease is not responsive to curative treatment. The specialist palliative care services offered include in patient, day centre, out-patients, community nurse specialists, and bereavement support.
